Libricide is a modern rock band and production house hailing from New York, NY. Formed in 2013, their sound transcends and is influenced by many elements of classic and modern music including rock, pop, grunge, progressive, metal, acoustic and electronica and incorporates visual elements to bring about a unique experience reflective of our current world's atmosphere of brooding possibility. The group has performed at countless venues throughout the greater New York City-metro area and beyond and in June of 2013 released a debut EP, entitled "Barriers to Entry", available for download and streaming online.
With further ensuing writing and recording, including development of a new full-length album and tour across the five boroughs, Long Island and much of the North East United States, Libricide released their self-titled, full length debut album on November 20, 2015- currently available for download and streaming on iTunes, Amazon, CDBaby, Bandcamp, as well as on YouTube, Spotify and a plethora of other online retailers. Limited edition CD’s with one-of-a-kind artwork and other unique merchandise are available for purchase on their Online Store.
They have since performed regularly at venues such as The Bitter End, The Knitting Factory, and Gramercy Theatre in NYC, One Centre Square, and held a residency at the historic Chance Theater in Poughkeepsie and more. They have shared the stage with the likes of Puddle of Mudd, Angel Vivaldi, The Iron Maidens, Smile Empty Soul, and September Mourning, just to name a few (as well as local and national spring and summer festival appearances). Their videos have also garnered hundreds of thousands of views online and across social media. They are currently touring in 2019 and recording their highly-anticipated sophomore follow-up.
