Libricide have released their latest single, “Silence”, the second so far in the rollout of their new album Consilience, out everywhere April 8th.

“Silence” depicts the world of a concerned and increasingly exasperated citizen in an over-reaching surveillance state. The song jumps in parts between the subject and their issues with modern society and a falsely placating, propagandizing, “sentient” governmental technology.

“When we were working on this song, we had no idea what the end result was going to be,” explains lead guitarist Dylan Stark. “When you write a tune and flesh it out in either the rehearsal room or the studio, it takes on a life of its own and doesn’t always turn out the way you had originally envisioned. This was one of those tunes. Once we started to work on it and put all of our ideas together, it indeed took on a life of its own & began to write itself out.”

NEW SINGLE "LAST TIME" TOP 5 MOST ADDED/TOP 50 ON METAL CONTRABAND

Libricide’s latest single “Last Time” becomes Top 5 most added radio single in the country on Metal Contraband the week of May 12th, and has a national chart debut this week on the Top 50 list with heavy hitters in both rock and metal categories.

Libricide releases a taste of some long-awaited new music with their grungy but catchy, guitar driven power ballad “Last Time”. The track marks a significant evolution in not only their songwriting approach and delivery, but production quality as well.

 Though not originally intended to be a single, lead singer and guitarist Harun Gadol states,

“We’d actually been sitting on this track for a little bit; it was a product of some great sessions we had with producer John Ferrara over at Portrait Recording Studios in New Jersey. But with everything that’s happened recently, larger and even mid-sized studios have obviously had to shut down. And though we are still working heavily on our follow-up, we didn’t know when we’d be able to get back in there.”

The group are still producing and writing plenty (and have even launched Libricide Studios, a fully-functional production facility conglomerate to serve as HQ for larger and more diverse projects) and plan to have much more awesome music and content in the coming year.
