The amorphous and ever-evolving studio group returns with their interpretation of the 1980’s Springsteen breakout.
“In March of '79 Bruce Springsteen and Joey Ramone met backstage at a Ramones show in Asbury Park, NJ. It was here that it was rumored that Joey asked Bruce to write a song for the band. Upon hearing the track he wrote, Bruce’s producer and manager Jon Landau insisted he keep the song for himself, which famously went on to become one of his biggest hits from his 1980 album, “The River”.”
What would Hungry Heart have sounded like if the Ramones actually got it? We sent our team of expert musicologists to find out.

Libricide’s latest single “Last Time” becomes Top 5 most added radio single in the country on Metal Contraband the week of May 12th, and has a national chart debut this week on the Top 50 list with heavy hitters in both rock and metal categories.
Libricide releases a taste of some long-awaited new music with their grungy but catchy, guitar driven power ballad “Last Time”. The track marks a significant evolution in not only their songwriting approach and delivery, but production quality as well.
Though not originally intended to be a single, lead singer and guitarist Harun Gadol states,
“We’d actually been sitting on this track for a little bit; it was a product of some great sessions we had with producer John Ferrara over at Portrait Recording Studios in New Jersey. But with everything that’s happened recently, larger and even mid-sized studios have obviously had to shut down. And though we are still working heavily on our follow-up, we didn’t know when we’d be able to get back in there.”
And why not! With the majority of people still being required to stay indoors media consumption has been at an all-time high. They had also released a fun behind-the-scenes teaser video of their sessions which can be seen here: https://bit.ly/3e5elpa
The group are still producing and writing plenty (and have even launched Libricide Studios, a fully-functional production facility conglomerate to serve as HQ for larger and more diverse projects) and plan to have much more awesome music and content in the coming year.
Special thanks to Metal Contraband, Skateboard Marketing Ltd., and the NACC Chart.

LIBRICIDE takes the stage for yet another epic evening with guitar virtuosos, this time with the genre-bending Bumblefoot (ex-Guns N’ Roses, Asia & Sons of Apollo) for his Storyteller Show Friday, January 3rd, 2020 at Dingbatz in Clifton, NJ.
Quick line checks and unpatched monitors didn’t keep the group from delivering one of their most crowd-pleasing performances to date, with a sing-along breaking out during their cover of Ozzy Osbourne’s “Mama I’m Coming Home”, and a devout “worship” segment from the local School of Rockers in the audience for Dylan Stark’s “Eruption” rendition (of Van Halen fame). Many friends made and a substantial email list signup proved the night to be another great success.
Setlist: Critical Mass, Vasoline (Stone Temple Pilots), Encumbrance Removed, Mama I’m Coming Home (Ozzy Osbourne), Shavings Carver, Eruption (Van Halen), Cult of Personality (Living Colour)
Other Acts: Bumblefoot, Charm City Devils, Orbynot, Mindrazer, Strive, Radium

LIBRICIDE shares the stage with Swedish neo-classical guitar virtuoso and heavy metal/rock legend Yngwie J. Malmsteen on Saturday, December 7th, 2019 at The Chance Theater in Poughkeepsie, NY.
After a lengthy sound check for the Malmsteen team, Libricide gets what might be their shortest “sound check” in their professional history, FIVE minutes before doors open for the night. Despite this, they were able to tune their levels quickly with the in-house staff and delivered a high-energy, riveting performance chock-full of a healthy blend of originals and covers that got the entire theater on their feet for the rest of the evening.
Other Acts: Yngwie Malmsteen, Last Pharaoh, Dyspell
Setlist: Critical Mass, Tornado of Souls (Megadeth), No Accident, Mama I’m Comin’ Home (Ozzy Osbourne), Shavings Carver, Eruption (Van Halen), Cult of Personality (Living Colour)

It was an electric evening, with our guys opening the show to a packed house eager for a good time. An Open Letter to #ChildishGambino,
Your creative ingenuity inspired us to use our unique sound to put a different lens on #ThisIsAmerica.
From #Trump and #MakeAmericaGreatAgain to #BlackLivesMatter, #BlueLivesMatter and everything in between, this country has been through so much over the past few years. Society has seen some of it’s biggest advances in #tech with #Tesla, #Amazon, and #BostonDynamics, the beauty of the #RoyalWedding, the atrocities of the #MeToo and #FamiliesBelongTogether movements along with some of the worst #SchoolShootings in history.
In the constantly divisive juxtapositions of #richvspoor, #leftvsright, or #blackvswhite plaguing #massmedia today, it’s important to not lose sight of the things that matter most, (especially this time of year)- our shared, #commonhumanity above anything else.
So thank you #DonaldGlover/#ChildishGambino for bringing awareness through your work; for speaking out, challenging norms and providing a platform for artists and musicians to #befree and think outside the box.
